Hello wonderful backers!

I've gotten a question or two about the new timeline.  

It looks like the corrected pages for the core spell books should be ready late next week. We've got book binding people standing by for the next three weeks/weekends to dive in as soon as those are switched out.

All of the first of the three Add On books should also be completely bound and done it looks like by Monday, and the other two aren't far behind.

Overall, at this stage I think late Feb. is the most accurate estimate.  Again, I apologize for the delay caused by misprinting the one page, and we're working to try to make up for lost time.

Hello wonderful Backers!

The good news is we have 7300 sheets made and printed (equating to 29200 pages worth of content) for the core spell books.  The bad news is I discovered that I inadvertently printed one of the pages twice and omitted another page in each set in this process.  

Neither of them are critical pages, but still, I've decided to bite the bullet and spend the money and time it will take to correct this.  That means we'll have to make another ~300 or so sheets and reprint them and re-collate them, and we're estimating that will cause about a 3-week delay when all is said and done.    

Obviously I apologize for this, it was entirely my fault in the way I set up the printing and I didn't catch it in two proof of concept copies.  The important thing is I will get it corrected so you will have the high quality book we promised you.

Alrighty wonderful backers, here's what I know... 

Sometime between Dec 31st and Jan 7th, we should have all the big paper finished, and all the pages printed.  The (much more normal) paper for the Add-On books will be a little faster and is nearly done already.  

Ideally then, it is looking like all binding will be done by the last week of January.  

All the printed game books are already in, and we're picking up the rest of the leather and wood this weekend.  On a side note, Tandy offers a lifetime elite wholesale status to military folk now, so, rock on Tandy Leather.  

I will see what I can do to pull this stuff in and avoid any unforeseen delays, and let you all know when we're looking at being ready to actually ship stuff out the door...

And by Kracken I mean PDFs...

OK wonderful backers, it turns out the file was 400+ mb because I saved it with WAY more information than you need to view or print the file, and so I was able to modify the files and get them down to under 150mb and therefore ship them out.  

A few notes on the files.  

The "Unwanted" game

The "Unwanted" game is exactly how it will be printed and sold after all this is over, but without the cover.  Please feel free to send me PMs on what you think and your comments on it as your read/play it.  

The Core Spell Book

All the pages are there in color and 600 dpi.  However, I did some compression to get it down to under 150mb.  I printed out some test pages and they looked good, but if anyone has an issue with the quality or notices something I did wrong, please let me know.

Now, these pages are CLEAN, and by that I mean with no aging and on white backgrounds.  We age the pages in the book separately from the printing, so we can vary the aging and they all look different and go to the edges of the paper etc.  If you intend to print any of these, I highly recommend you age/distress the pages or print on some sort of yellowed parchment.  

Alrighty, hopefully all goes well with the pdfs, and you enjoy what you see!

Hello wonderful backers!

OK, so the pdf files are put together and ready to go, but it turns out the Core Spell Book file is 430+mb big, and Backerkit taps out at 150Mb and their help desk folks aren't working this weekend.  I have an email out to them to see if they have a solution on Monday, but if not, we'll just go the DriveThru route.  In that instance, you'll get a code to download from DriveThru, and I will have to talk to them about how to set it up right, but shouldn't be an issue.
